New Work in Progress

Here are some rendered shots of my Shishi Lion Guardian sculpt.  A work in progress, but the game res asset will be done soon.

I started the Zbrush sculpt to my weapon concept I painted a week or so ago.  I need to tweak some things yet, but I will have it game res by next week.

The Unnatural Selector

Finished up my steampunk rifle today.. totally stoked about this.  Real-time capture in 3DS Max 2012 with Xoliul Shader 2.0 .. Thanks again to the devs of this wicked awesome shader.  Rifle observed from a production concept from Weta Workshop.

Edit: I made some additional tweaks to my texture in the spec map, and these new shots were taken in Marmoset. Love Marmoset.  It's actually quite fun to mess with lighting, mood and a little depth of field in real-time.

New works

The previous post was work done from about 3 months ago.  Here is some new work That I have done within the last 3 weeks.  Pretty darn proud of this rifle.  It was observed from a concept from Weta Workshop based on a compiled work of Steampunk designs.

Here are some recent figures and paintings I've done.  I drew this sketch for fun a little while ago.. lots of dirty marks.. worked this out by finding my values and silhouette.

 Some orthographic drawings I made of one of my favorite game characters of all time-- Kain, of the Legacy of Kain series-- the game is old, but I'd love for them to bring it back w/ today's tech.. One can only dream... ;P

More Figures and Studies

More than recently, I had the opportunity to work on a project for Valve.  Andrea Wicklund lead the group and gave us a project to design new zombies for Left 4 Dead 2, or robot designs for Portal 2.  I chose Portal 2 and designed several variations of robot classes that I thought would fit in the universe.
